Yes, we do apprenticeships in Administration, Customer Service, IT, Marketing, Welding and Fabrication, Plant Maintenance and Mechanics, Human Resources, Accounts. We will also consider speculative applications in other areas so long as they fit within our business.

Q: What’s it like to work at

Fast paced, dynamic and challenging, there’s never a dull moment working for Recycling Lives. No matter what your occupation, whether an office job or working on one of our recycling sites, we believe in our staff, promote innovation thinking, and progression within the company.

Q: What is your
interview process?

It depends. Some positions will start with a telephone interview. If both parties are interested, this would lead to a face to face interview at one of our sites. This will involve the Hiring Manager and a representative from Human Resources. Some positions may require a second interview and a competency assessment.

Q: Can I submit a

Q: Are there opportunities
to progress at Recycling Lives?

Yes, we believe in offering progression opportunities for everyone, no matter where they start from. Here are a couple of examples of people who’ve progressed within the company.

Deena Karia started working for us as an apprentice when she was a teenager and is now the manager of the Skip Hire Network, one of our fastest growing departments.

Aaron Moore began working for us as a depollution operative, depolluting all the scrap cars before they are processed. He is now a depollution manager, training new depollution team members and helping to set up new processing sites across the UK.

Q: I work for an employment agency, temporary staffing firm, or consulting business. How can I present applicants to you?

We will review the application and get back to you if it is of interest to us. Please be aware that all applicants presented to us through an external employment agency will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Q: Do you do work

We work with organisations like Achieve, Shaw Trust, UK Work Placement, Colleges and Universities to arrange placements. We also provide work placements for direct applicants.

Q: How long do you take
to make a decision after an interview?

We will notify you at the interview about how long the decision-making process will take. We will then call or e-mail you to notify if you were successful or not.

Q: I submitted my CV but haven't heard from Recycling Lives yet. What's the status of my application?

We often get hundreds of applications for our vacancies. Unfortunately, we're not able to make personal contact with those that have not been successful in the next stage of the selection process. You can always give us a call or email us for an update on your application.
