Recycling Lives
Longridge Road,

We buy Scrap Metal, Scrap Cars, WEEE, TV’s and IT Equipment for the best prices in Preston

The Recycling Park is our flagship recycling site - a 15.7 acre facility with a fragmentiser, depollution line and fabrication, welding and warehouse facilities.

The site buys, processes and recycles all ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) and waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) like TVs, IT equipment and white goods.

Capacity & capabilities

Waste is brought in over our bespoke weighbridge systems, ensuring total transparency around goods brought onto the site. It is then processed along our recycling, depollution or warehouse lines before being separated, shredded and recycled down to composite materials through our pre-shredder, fragmentiser and highly sophisticated downstream technologies.

Our machinery and infrastructure - including Europe’s only on-line, fully digitised fragmentiser - allows for the most effective separation techniques in the industry.

The Recycling Park uses a depollution line - to strip ELVs before they are shredded, separated and recycled - as well as the fragmentiser to significantly reducing carbon emissions in our ELV recycling process. The Recycling Park prevents around 120,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions by returning recycled metals to market each year.

We are trusted by merchants worldwide to produce the highest quality, export-grade metals and plastics, ready for reuse and remanufacture. Recycled materials are containerised and exported straight from site, ensuring you receive the best price for your metals and materials.

Environmental standards & site safety

The Recycling Park holds the highest environmental and safety standards, ensuring the safety of our site staff and visitors. Like all our facilities, it is licensed by the Environment Agency and we hold Alcumus and ISO accreditation for our Health & Safety practices and record. We hold the most impressive safety record in the industry for the fewest decompression events within our fragmentiser. All processes at the Recycling Park are recorded in high-definition to ensure adherence to regulations around the safe and correct disposal of waste, as well as total transparency of the recycling process.

Creating opportunities

The Recycling Park is staffed by around 225 staff, working in highly-skilled jobs or professional positions. Amongst our diverse, 350-strong workforce, around 40% have come from marginalised backgrounds, joining the team through one of our charitable programmes or work programmes. The Recycling Park creates jobs for Graduates of our programmes, ending their time in structured support and starting a new, independent life for them.
