Homelessness and unemployment are growing problems within the UK that tend feed into one another, often creating a downwards spiral into substance abuse and criminality. For vulnerable individuals in this position, the journey back to becoming a useful member of society with an income and a home is long and arduous.
This video shows how Recycling Lives acts to help people faced with this journey, providing them with a six-step plan that offers food, accommodation, training and work experience to help them get back on their feet. During this process, we don’t just focus on creating employable skills, but also life skills like budgeting, food hygiene and risk management. The purpose of this training is to provide a more holistic approach to the problems faced by these individuals so that they can fight them head-on.
